Vijay Ramanujam is a transactional trade finance (TTF) specialist with 25-plus years of experience in global banks and top commodity trading corporates around the globe. Letter of credit (LC) confirmations and discounting solutions and avalized drafts discounting are his forte.

Vijay set up his own boutique international trade finance advisory in the UK in 2020 and is now an independent banking and international trade finance advisor to select corporates around the world.

Vijay was formerly the regional head of trade finance for Asia at the French multinational Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC), based out of its Singapore regional HQ. Previously, he was also the head of trade finance operations at American Express Bank Singapore.

Vijay has vast experience in structuring, financing and risk mitigation of exports and imports in diverse and challenging markets around the world, in particular Asia and Africa. Using his structuring experience and networks, he has helped a number of global companies do business in markets such as Sri Lanka, Ethiopia and others.

He also has strong connections with numerous global, regional and local commercial banks, multilateral development banks, factoring/invoice financing companies, credit insurance underwriters/brokers and other agencies around the world.
